Coalburn Silver Band
Coalburn Silver Band is one of the last surviving brass bands in the South Lanarkshire area, having its roots in the coal mining industry.
It was formed in 1902, as a public subscription band and with brief spells of inactivity spanning the two world wars, has been "blowing" ever since.
Originally playing members were all local people but now, our members now travel from all over Lanarkshire and beyond. We would welcome anyone with an interest in brass to join either our senior or training bands. The band have had many successes over the years, the most notable achieving second place in our first year of competing in the 2nd Section at the 2010 Scottish Championships.
Rehearsals take place every Tuesday & Thursday from 19:30 - 21:30 in our own band hall at 27 Bellfied Road, Coalburn, South Lanarkshire, ML11 0LA.
We are a dynamic band with loads to offer and welcome all lovers of brass and percussion to our friendly, successful and most sociable band scene.
